Now in its fourth year, GearFest is the place to be for any mountain biker, kayaker, paddler, climber, hiker or armchair enthusiast and will now feature more retailers and demos than ever before.
It is one of the largest expositions of new and used outdoor gear in the Midwest: GearFest allows individuals, outdoor clubs, and recreation oriented retailers to sell, buy and share information about their gear.
It is a FREE event including all of these fun features:
Exhibitor Village-the outdoor industry will be represented by manufacturers, retailers, clubs and advocacy organizations from all over
Camping-unique opportunity for primitive camping at Eastwood
Climbing Wall-opportunity for climbers of all ages to try out the 28 foot wall made by Entre Prises Company
Mad River Float Trips-bring your own boat or use one from Barefoot Canoes and then get shuttled back from RiverScape to the event.
Youth Adventure Zone-The Miami Valley Boy Scouts Council and the Girl Scouts of Western Ohio will provide a number of fun activities, games and demonstrations for all to enjoy.
Flatwater FreeStyle Paddle Competition-If you're a boater come out and throw down for a cash prize from 10am-4pm. Call to Register 937-417-2189.
Disc Golf Tournament-The Dayton Disc Golf Association will host the Best in Dayton Finale (open to members)
Adventure Sport Demos- Mountain Bike Team 216, paddlers in the pool, Climbing Wall and more.
Fashion Show- showcasing trends in outdoor attire
Gear Charity Auction – several hot items to bid on to raise funds for the following national organizations: Trout Unlimited, League of American Bicyclist, and American Whitewater.
Consignment Area- individuals, reps and others can sell pre-owned gear as well as shop for the latest tricked out gear from local and regional exhibitors at GearFest.   A consignment service allows individuals to drop outdoor gear off for sale at the gear tent and return later to pick up the proceeds. 


Live Music All Day!!!!! 
Live Music- musicians from The Everlasting Sound Tour & WYSO Discovery Concert Series wi  ll be playing at Eastwood both on Friday, Oct. 3 rd GearFest Eve starting at 8:30pm and throughout the event on Saturday. From there all can retire to the Paddler's Pub for an evening of beer, paddling videos, and story swapping on who had the biggest carnage of the day. Hope to see everyone for a weekend of Fun!!
