Plan on at least a bit of cloud cover and perhaps a bit of rain, lightning, hail, etc. You'll be warm when the sun is beating down, but you'll be glad that you layered for warmth when the clouds roll in, which seems to occur daily, about the same time as when you drop into the canyon.
