	a thick expanded foam liner is gona really absorb big hits,lots of side protection I had to carve out some of the foam on an XXL (or maybe it was just an XL?) to fit my head but then anybody who is carving on a XXL has a WIERD head ... now it fits GOOD the face guard piece can obscure vision ,I had mine on but took it off.If you want face protection something with a wire cage/nose bar is best IMO the only down side is you gotta be an old school boater who is secure enough in himself to wear something without glitter
