You're talking about the takeout, not the put in. There is no new construction. There was the renovation of the old IO office which is now the IO Office and the Wesser General Store that sells beer, basic first aid stuff like benadryl, aspirin, bandaids and insect treatments, t-shirts, etc.
If you're talking about the fence between Ferabee's and the Put-in, and the bridges and gazebo and paved driveway that were put in, that is all for the Mystic River on the Nantahala Land/Housing/Community Development. NOC has no part in this development and opposes it completely. Strangely, the Mystic River land development is actually being advertised in the Sierra Club Magazine in its classified section. Not trangely, Sierra Magazine is a business that is designed to make money and pay for itself, even if that means going against some of the goals of the Sierra Club.
If you're talking about any development east of NOC's Main Campus on Highway 19, no matter how close it is to any signs that advertise NOC or point to our new store or restaurants, that development is not an NOC project of any kind.
Cheers!
