Cravincreeks got it right in his response. You can drive 1-3 hours in any direction from Knoxville and be at most southeastern rivers.

Ocoee--Just 1hr 45min
Tellico--1.5hr
Big South Fork of the Cumberland--Just over 1hr
Obed Wild and Scenic River with all the creeks that join (Island Creek, Little Clear Creek and Crooked Fork)--1hr
Everthing in the Smokies--1hr
Cheoah--1.5hr
Pigeon--1hr
Northern Alabama Runs--Just under 3hrs
Watauga--Just over 2hrs
Russell Fork--3.5hr
North Chick--2hr
Tallulah and Chattooga--3hr
