	I work on the river kayaking and pushing rubber I carry at least 2 and sometimes 3 ropes(i am anal about rescue gear,1 is none 2 is 1, 3 gives you a backup) I make sure that the ropes come out of the bags a couple times a month to unkink and restuff. My youngest bag is 4 years old my oldest I bought at cheat fest 1whenever that was. new good quality bags hold up well. The biggest problem I see is when they are left in boats and never dry and when they stay in the bag too long. I have seen throws fail when the rope has been stuffed but moved and shuffled for months.
