I look at it like this. If they're searching my car for no reason, then they're not necessarily the best cops. And if I fight them on the search, they will probably be even bigger assholes to me and fellow boaters in the future, and that accomplishes nothing. If a boater makes life more difficult for a cop, that isn't going to fix anything. In fact, I would guess that it will just make him more of an ass in the future.

Then again, if you have something illegal in your car, then maybe you should fight the search. But of course its your own fault for having something in the car.

But I guess that we can all talk big game on boatertalk, huh?
