Let me preface this by saying that I ride bikes and dont know jack about riding a skateboard.....We were at No Name in greenville and had been riding all night...it was about 11:30. I went up to the bowl to ride and my buddy was there with his board and I thought I would try dropping in the bowl and when I made it to the bottom I broke my foot.
Anyhow I managed to make my toes bend backwards far enough to touch the top of my foot. This was on a friday night.
Come Monday it was not alright, my brother's doctor girlfriend impressed upon me to get an x-ray and I obliged. I went straight to a Podiatrist and started there. I know to many people who have gotten messed up worse by going to people who dont know what they are doing when things get this specific.
Anyhow within a week and a half i went in for surgery and now have two 5 inch pins in my foot and a fiberglass cast. The pins have to stay in for about 4-6 weeks and I am laid out for up to ten weeks maybe longer, they had to put bone grafting material in.
Let me stress that if a surgery is required use a reputable Podiatrist and not an orthopedist.
