Well, after reading your post I realize that a paddler that never aspires to paddle anything more difficult than the Lower Yough would certainly consider the Upper B a dangerous place to be, but rest assured, it is navigable by competent boaters. I agree with you, it is a dangerous run,full of consequences, kind of like one of the most underestimated class 3 rapids in the east, Dimple. Thank God you are there with your 3 throw bags to rescue everyone there. The Upper B is much more narrow than the Lower Yough, kind of like your mind. There may not be enough room on the Upper B for you anyway Bud. I make my way to the Lower Yough on occasion, as do many other BT frequenters, I am sure everyone will be on the lookout for a 3 throwbag carrying individual, how bout it???????????? |
