every time you put it on.
The 3 liter soda bottle I use for stretching neck gaskets is actually only a little larger in circumference than my neck.
So how in hell does that kind of stretching harm the gasket any more that just wearing the damn garment ?!?
I have heard that jackass theory about stretching damaging gaskets before. It is always advanced by people who never think about what happens when you wrestle a gasket on over your head, and then wear it for hours while twisting your neck back and forth.
I have stretched a bunch of Kokatat gaskets, and a Stohlquist. The only gasket failure I ever saw was in really OLD gaskets I had used for years, and then they did not split, they just sort of stretched away. |
