question Next step up from pogies? New

Cold hands near the end of the day on a all day, below freezing, remote, creeking trip - what is the next step up in hand warmth from Mountain Surf oven mitts?

Glad I stuffed thinsulate fleece gloves in the dry bag for portages because they did the trick and I was back on the creek after a portage.  It was probably the aerobic exercize of hiking with a 100 lb boat that helped as well.
