and it has always worked. But its not necessarily the safest route, but ive used it multiple times.
I usually go to the front curb check in at denver, and sometimes they just put the boat on no hassels or extra fees. I've also had them say you will need to go inside. I carried fourty dollars cash, and gave it to the guys out front... made sure the boat was tagged, and got it safely at my arrival airport. I've done it at multiple airports including denver, Orlando, Washington Dulles, and a few others.... but again, its always a last option...
I wouldnt suggest this as a first option, but when flying out somewhere to specifiically boat, I get desperate. I also wrap them in sheets, and tell them its like a surfboard....if asked haha....
