I would add to that: in the midst of the DRY season.
I went down there the first w/e of Jan. and didn't want a later date cuz, well, the water's running low. Really, it sounds like you had bad timing and were at the mercy of the majority of the paddlers on the trip.
I had an opposite experience, mainly cuz there was water and a lot of options. Plus, the majority of the others on the trip were IV-V paddlers. CRR was very flexible in customizing the whole week for all of us. One of the ways they did this was to honor a request from another paddler to run a specific river.
Really sorry for your disappointing experience, mine was completely different. |
