	Guess it really depends on what the local kayak shop is. For me, I'd choose local hands down because the staff knows what they are doing and are either boaters, climbers, hikers, or some other outdoor enthusiast that actually uses the gear they sell. Their prices are usually right on and they give an AW membership. Add that feel good feeling of supporting a locally owned business and knowing the people that I am doing business with to the mix and that's pretty hard to beat. Of course, if you live somewhere other than Asheville, it may be a different story:)
