	People are welcome to join whatever group they want, be it  AW, ACA or American Rivers. But despite the kayak-centric focus of the AW journal, it is full of information useful to all whitewater boaters regardless of what they paddle. Chris is right, we canoeists need to send them more articles and see if they publish them. I thought it was kind of silly to censure Louie's letter, though. A letters forum should be as open as possible and if you don't like or disagree with the opinion of the letter writer, you can write your own. That is the way our letters to the editor are handled at my newspaper and it makes for the liveliest forum. Like I said, there are no letters to the editor at all in the latest issue of AW, and I find that kind of dull.
