I loved the Salto, but being at 185 and 5'-11" , by the time I added all of my creeking gear in the back, I was at the edge of the weight limit for that boat and I could sense a little bit of performance degredation.  Corey Volt of team dagger encouraged me to try a Nomad, and I loved it!  Performs extremely well for me even with all of the gear in the back.  The biggest thing I noticed was how easy it was to raise the bow with a simple forward stroke.   (read, extremely easy to boof).  I would say the increased performance of switching to the Nomad bumped me up 1/2 of a class in confidence alone.

For what it's worth.
