news Green River Access... parking lot problems New

From: Spanky

The owner of the parking lot called the office today and spoke with Obie. She had caught two guys dismantleing the fence so that they could park or get out of the parking lot... she was not clear if they were going in or out. The one thing she did say and I quote " if kayakers don't care about my property (its her fence not ours) then she will just close it down altogether". She also reminded me (and I am reminding all of you) that she is renting the lot month by month and that she will close it down if this kind of disreguard for her property continues.  So..... here is the deal, GET A KEY, keys are available at Green River Adventures at the top of the hill.
Green River Access:
We are in the process of making Green River Access an LLC, mainly for tax reasons but also so that more people can get involved with any decisions that need to be made. Officers for the first year are as follows: Woody Callaway, Sara Bell, Shane Benedict, John Grace and Stephen Hughes:
There will be a meeting the Friday before the Green Race at the take-out parking lot where one of the Officers will be voted off and someone else voted on. This process will go forward each year. Key holders are asked to come to the meeting and vote their choice for a new officer.

NEW RULES: some you will like and some you won't

1- Lock the gate when you enter and when you leave...
2- No Dogs... that means.... No Dogs. I know this is a bummer as I have brought my dogs in the past but I will leave them at home from now on.
3- No overnight camping
4- Do not tamper with the fence, if you for some reason do not have your key call Green River Adventures and someone will let you out for a small fee
Keys are available at Green River Adventures (only), we will no longer mail keys as they are open 7 days a week.
Key are $60.00 or if you turn in a 2007 key the cost is $45.00
If you are representing a camp or doing business which puts more people in the parking lot Commercial keys are available for $200.00
Each member will receive 1- a key to the gate,2- T-shirt, 3- helmet sticker (this will help everyone see who has a key and who doesn't)
If you have any questions call either Sara at Green River Adventures or Woody at Liquidlogic
Thanks, Woody
