Got to camp on Fri and Sat night with lots of Friends.  I got spankings all day long by fellow paddlers!  Dang they can hit hard.  I had to tell them to wait till after the river since I needed to sit on my butt in my kayak for the river.

Sat's run was so nice with the Sun, 70 deg and great water.  I had a dry hair day on the river.  Didn't see any carnage and lots of first timers.

The best was went I was done at Powerhouse - my friends were on the left shore singing Happy Birthday to me as I paddled up.   I was all smiles.

Had dinner at the Mexican restaurant sat night. 

Sunday started out chilly but eventually the skies parted for more sunshine and warmed up.  More water on Sunday.  I only had one little oops.  I disappeared into the hole at Lynch's Wrench.  Luckily I held in there, made my roll and still managed to get in the small eddy on the right just below it.

I saw one badly dented Java boat from a piton in the Gauntlet on Sunday.  It looked like a crinkled nose and a bowling ball on the bottom indent.  Luckily it was the boat and the boater was all right.

At the take out on Sunday - I went for a swim in my drysuit.  Having some air in it helps.  I like just floating and relaxing on my back.  Normally I sink like a rock! 

Made my drive back to Nashville - luckily I didn't have to drive all the way back to Michigan!

Thanks to all the Volunteers and everyone that helped me Celebrate my Birthday!  I can honestly say it was my best birthday yet.

And looking at next year's calendar - I get to do it again next year since my Birthday falls on Sunday April 12, 2009.  Yahoo!!!!
