So in the next couple of weeks, i'm gonna buy my first kayak. I canoed a bunch when i was younger and i've always wanted to kayak so now is the time. Money is kind of tight so i'm looking for a good quality i guess you could say beginner kayak for around $500 or under. I'll be taking it on relatively short trips with mostly
class 2's nothing more class 3 rapids.

I've been looking at the Old Town Rush.

Would this be a good yak for what i am looking for?

Any other advice/kayaks/links are appreciated....

thanks

note Then that boat should be fine, and you should have no problem fitting into most if not all flatwater kayaks. GRITS New
note Mostly I agree, and very well written.  But I wouldn't buy a used PFD geoffcj New
note First boat should be a used boat, a new one is going to look like hell in a few weeks anyway. <NT> Louie New
