	that I have found to be somewhat more predictive at times, usually use it along with NOAA and Weather channel for supporting data. http://wxmaps.org/pix/ez.east.html Also check out the Metropolitan Meteograms for longer range precip forecasts: http://wxmaps.org/pix/meteograms.html so for the appalachians, extrapolate between Nashville, Atl and Charlotte. This method is rather sketchy but can help prioritizing which weekends to paddle. Alex
