I tell first timers this:

" It's a fun, scenic, safe run that you'll enjoy once you've completed it and you think about what you just experienced. You'll reflect on the beauty of the cliff lined gorge and canyon and of just being on a run in the middle of the wilderness. Yes...there are hazards on this run but just like on other runs including the Tellico, Little River of the Smokies and others. Just remember, this run is pool drop and almost every rapid has a pool below. Listen to those around you (that know where they're going) and you'll make your lines too...just stay away from the rocks."
