1. Do the knee blocks. Go to http://www.brushymountainpublishing.com/kneeblocks.html for directions 2. Keep the seat in the middle position. It's perfectly balanced at our weight. Some people like one step forward, but I'm your weight and within an inch of your height and it's fine at middle position. 3. Swap out the strings (orange, I think) that connect ratchet straps with webbing straps. They will break or untie. 4. Add three 1/4" sheets of minicell under the standard seat pad. The pad is removed by two screws on back of seat (black plastic) and then flipped up so you can slide these under there. Play around with how many sheets you need. Could be 2, 3, 4, or maybe even 5. Nice for raising you up for more reach and easier rolls, also good for your bum if you land on rocks. :-) 5. Hip pads have two settings - higher and lower. Determine right position after you add foam under stock seat pad. 6. Add a little extra foam (two 1/4" thick mini cell sheets is what I used) under your heels on the bulkhead after you put in the stock foam onto the bulkhead plate. Gives the feet a more natural position and eliminated "leg sleep" for me. 7. When putting in foam bulkhead onto Pyranha's plate, simply but slits where the aluminum arms would go through. This ensures that the 2" foam bulkhead can't come out once it's in the boat.
PM me if you want additional info. I'm in no way affiliated with Pyranha, so these are unbiased opinions generated from paddling it about 100 times on creeks in the SE. Great boat, and I think it's durable as hell.
