There are a few safty features that are better in some boats than others... large cockpits are better than small ones, plastic front step/piller to step on in pin situation, etc...

...but the bottom line is the boat that makes you paddle the best is the one that keeps you out of bad situations the best... = Safe  This means a different answer depending on your paddling style, preferences, weight, height, body type; as well as your personal strengths and weakness in your paddling skill set.

For that boat is currently the Pyraha Everest, but its going to be different for some people so take the advice you get here with a grain of salt.
