but I firmly believe in the mantra that in order to make anyone else happy, you absolutely have to be happy yourself. It just so happens that ww kayaking is what does it. Most people  that have that attitude are usually jealous that you, in fact, have something that really makes you happy, so be it. Most paddlers that I know understand that they are on the selfish side and usually try really hard to make up for it in different ways with the significant others/siblings etc. If you put yourself on the other side, how could you not be jealous of someone that comes home, really stoked and happy EVERYTIME after paddling?? I can't fathom why anyone would not make it priority #1 to find that something that does it for them!!!
