it is hard to understand the mind of a boater if you do not boat. you want to go have your fun when conditions are right, no matter what else is going on. most people who do not boat do not understand this, because it is a sport that is weather dependent. yeah you have the rivers like the ocoee that run every weekend, but free flowing rivers you just have to drop what you are doing and go sometimes. which is when your girlfriend or spouse or whoever else gets the idea that you don't care about much else. its just hard to get people to understand that. hope this answers some of your questions.
