I have had to deal with a ton of warranty claims in my line of work. Very hard users of our goods. Probably some of the worst and I have seen and heard it all.

The longer you take to claim a warranty the less likely you are to get it.

If you say the condition as existed for a lengthy period of time then you accepted it, lived with it. Don't expect a warranty claim if you have lived with it for 50% of the time that you have owned it.

Document your problem. Even if you are not going to be in that area or deal with that manufacturer for a while, CALL them and get a claim ticket going.

Call ahead before you get there and see if you can schedule an appt with someone other than someone on the counter.

If your buddy thinks that outdoorplay.com is the answer to all of his problems, then he obviously is not looking for service, just price.  I agree with you that NRS has been super to deal with. I have really enjoyed watching the progression of the product lines over the past 18 years. It really is a great company to deal with.Blake has been nothing but pro for me!
