Take Aire's 10 year, "no fault " warranty for instance.  Sure they eat it from time to time, but overall, that warranty is in part, responsible for Aire's success as a raft/cat/kayak manufacturer.

Same thing with Craftsman. People buy their tools because they know that the company will stand behind their product 100%.

I t seems to me that if NRS told him anything, it should have been that they couldn't honor the warranty because he allowed a different to replace parts on it instead of NRS, in turn, voiding the warranty, but to say that teh lifetime warranty only applies to the lifetime of teh garment is simply bad business, and I'm sure that they'll end up replacing it it this thread grows, because that are a damn good company and prolly don't want this kind of negative communication going on, but time will tell
