If you go back and look at NRS catalogs from the mid-70's, they had a bag that was similar to their own Bill's Bag, except with a rubber zip-lock-style closure. Watershed didn't invent it. Neither did NRS. They both just used the idea on the bags they were making. Also, when I worked for NRS as their returns/repair person, I sent back a couple of bags to Watershed that they wouldn't warranty, but would only repair at a cost to the customer. Same thing happened once or twice with Kokatat (you know they only make their GoreTex stuff in-house right? Everything else is made in Asia.)
Everything is case-by-case. No one gets carte blanche. |
