note Question- is the art of minicell foam outfitting being lost? New

I have noticed that many people who have started boating since the invention of pre-installed factory outfitting have never dealt with minicell foam in any way.  Is the art of minicell shaping and outfitting being lost?  I find foam outfitting almost zen like, and the thousands of variations make it endlessly tweekable for that perfect fit.  Just thought I would ask since I spent 5 hours re-outfitting my squirt boat with lots of minicell foam this past week.
