not a whole lot of need for it with the instant outfitting that comes with most boats today. I still keep the surform/36 grit along with the Weldwood/disposable brush handy for those knee blocks and other modifications. I once made a whole seat out of minicell for the Prijon Alien. I usually end up tweaking my Bigfoot now and than as well. Definately seems like not many people have any experience with it anymore. Funny thing was even "back in the day" alot of really good kayakers had no interest in the zen part of this lost art. Slap one coat of contact cement on some square ass piece of foam and stick it in, oh and than have to do it all over again 3 more times. |
