Most mountain bike stores I can take or leave, except for Liberty Bikes in Asheville; they've got their shit together.  NOC's customer service is good-to-go for everything they offer.  On the other end of the spectrum, Charter cable is a perfect example of how not to do things.  Wal-Mart can be hit or miss, mostly miss, although I have experienced a couple of excellent employees there.  Motorcycle stores are the worst I've ever experienced, by far, except for Casto Cycles in WV.  The overall attitude in motorcycle stores seems to be very aloof.  The Harley stores are the worst of all.  Maybe they know their products will be sold eventually, so they really don't have to give a shit.  Kind of like Wal Mart or Charter.
