ran it last Friday and kept telling myself that something was changing as I could not seem to make it far left off of the ledge anymore and always could. Turn the corner today and thought alright good line workin today and DAAAMMMMNNNN! Not possible to get as far left as I used to, not even close! Way less water than a week ago! Sketchy at best today, got pushed to the downstream end of undercut on right and friend went totally in it. One other thing that clued me into changes was once you would land the boof before and start turning back to left, there is always that F.U. rock right in the middle of flow. It used to have a little water going over it even at 6.5", today at 7.5" it is 2-3" out of water. Talked with friend who hiked around in there earlier this week and he said it is like somebody pulled a plug on a drain somewhere at top of boof to the left and alot of water is going under curtain and coming out at bottom. This makes sense as I was trying to digest how that F.U. rock at bottom didn't have the same amount going over it, cause even if more water was heading towards middle or sneak right lines, it shouldn't make a difference at this rock. Got to take out and it hit me that water must be going far left and my buddy confirmed this. I don't think it is very likely to get past the undercut without getting a piece of it. I know next time I go, I will get out and survey it.
Be Careful out there,
