	Good on ya, cdd, for calling it like it IS. It is all fun and games, ZFP's, until you're taking the last living snapshots of your friend. Personally, I think there should be a 2:1 throw-rope to camera ratio. Grow up, and know better. If you're boating stuff to be "cool" - you've found not only the wrong friends, but the wrong pastime as well. Good guides know the run, have been down it more than once without swimming and getting worked, and have good enough sense to set safety. Learn to use your equipment, before someday you're be sorry you didn't. The scene you described wouldn't cut it up here in the PNW, especially BC. You have more self-restraint than I do. Hope to see you this summer.
