One of things I thought was great about this race was that the people who seemed most competitive were also the ones egging on other ladies to enter. It wasn't about winning the helmet - it was about having a cool competition. I'd rather have 20 ladies on the line and come in 10th than 6 on the line and come in 2nd. Nikki was an athletic looking woman who just did the Cheoah in a playboat - obviously she was going to do pretty well. I'm a weekend warrior - always will be, and that's the way I like it - but it would have been sweet to compete against Green-racer types and sponsored boaters.
How sweet would it be to see 20 women bumping each other down the big-un' next year?
