These would be my selections.   [[ I'll be in WY/MT paddling on Sunday, away from DC Metro ]]

Short Drive: Mather Gorge (Potomac): http://www.americanwhitewater.org/content/River_detail_id_742_

The level will be in the 5s (possibly low 6s) by Sunday (Class II-III generally, and certain spots close to Great Falls, Class IV), and there is A LOT of great play.  Just drive to the parking lot on Macaruthus Blvd across from the Old Anglers Inn -- and you should find people to paddle to a play-spot with or to run the Gorge.

Long Drive: Cheat Canyon : http://www.americanwhitewater.org/content/River_detail_id_2347_

Not sure what the level will be, but it WILL be boatable this weekend.  (Class IV - V depending on the level)  Be careful though, it might be too high for a comfortable Class IV run (i.e., Class V).
