question Best Boat-type for Play on Alpine Section of the Snake R.??? New

I'm going to Jackson Hole with my wife this weekend, and I've been granted Sunday to kayak.  I'm going to head to the Alpine Section of the Snake River (heavy commercially rafted section) and will get a whitewater kayak to rent.

BUT, what boat (at the current levels) will be best?  Short boat (i.e., spud) or longer boat (i.e., longer playboat for green wave surfing/blunts)?  I think the outfitter has Necky and LL boats to rent.

Thanks!!!

more Y'know, I've wondered why I never hear people talk about the Phoenix boats when they talk long boats... swampboy62 New
note It's partly because poly boats quickly drove Phoenix into the ground. Phoenix never tried to match the best, later ezwater New
