	Personally I'd probably go to ashville, I think the road is 281, then 40 to 74. You can also take 276. If you're up for scenic take 64 to rosman then catch 215. 215 takes you into shinning rock wilderness and over the parkway at about 6000'. There are a couple nice short hikes there, Devils Court House is one. 215 comes out in Waynesville.
