"The Optio W60 also accompanies users to new aquatic depths. With improved design and construction of the shutter button and controls, as well as reinforced, airtight joints, the Optio W60 allows underwater photography up to 30 percent deeper than previous PENTAX waterproof models. In addition to the JIS Class 8 waterproofing standard, the camera is JIS Class 5 dustproof against dirt, sand and dust and operates in extreme temperatures as cold as 14 degrees Fahrenheit (minus 10 degrees Celsius)."

Maybe they upgraded it from Class III flip/swim capable (like my old Optio WPi) to Class IV- hydraulic capable  :)

... but DAMN!!! they added (USELESS!) megapixels and now it's even slooower ... 1 frame per sec.  All the camera co. morons are doing that though :(

doh If only they would add an optical viewfinder and get rid of the shuttle lag. <NT> Bradley New
th_up Yeah. Everyone hates a long shuttle <NT> <NT> scagrotto New
note If you meter first (press the button 1/2 way) there is very little shutter lag on the snapshot. tcookson New
note The Pentax W series should be set to PF focus mode -- then it's FAST ... shaunotter New
more ( for action from a boat, at least ... make sure to change when better/precise AF is needed ) <NT> shaunotter New
note does it have a lens cap navi New
note It's a problem, but can be dealt with in various ways.  Lens cover does not need to be perfectly clean for   ezwater New
