Headed up to the Cal Salmon for my first time. We were gonna run Nordheimer on Saturday, but got a flat on the way to the put-in and no one had tires closer than Eureka. So we let Eric drive off and get new tires for his Subie. The downside of Subies is that you end up having to buy 4 tires if one is busted too bad to fix. He had a sidewall tear from a rock on the road.
While Eric and Michelle spent the day in the car, the rest of us ran the Butler Creek run. Good fun. I played probe, which is not my usual thing. I did all right though, even though I ended up swimming in flat water at the end of the day.

We did Nordheimer on Sunday though. I was kinda scared as I don't usually run Class V. I ended up walking Freight Train and Cascade, but styled Bloomer Falls. Of course that's because Bloomer has been downgraded since it got dynamited. Still, it was a great run and I had lots of fun. Can't wait to do it again.
We met Michelle at the Butler Creek put-in and then ran down to camp. I was able to roll in flat water.
