	I have a gore-tex drytop from 2003, still waterproof and much drier inside than a nylon top, which I've also used, never again now I know better. I don't know anything about eVent but gore-tex works great for me. My Palm Stikine drysuit is breathable but not goretex, so far it works great too, it's only a couple of years old and nowhere near as much use so long-term I can't say.
