My main claim - that breathable fabrics don't work well in highly humid environments like those experienced on the river - is easily researched on the web. You can look it all up if you don't believe me. As to your personal usage - whether that be taking long, romantic strolls on the side of the river while your fabulous drysuit efficiently and effectively removes all the moisture from around your body, or running a marathon in your drysuit or ejecting yourself into the pure vacuum of space in your drysuit - that's not really what I'm speaking to, is it? :-)
