Oh I completely am with you on that. You can take a dry bag of any of the breathable fabrics and over a period of time it will vent out. I would just be very shocked that you can push it out while underwater as Nate said. That would be crazy. The membranes are great for use as a water proof relief valve. One surf board company puts a Gor-tex membrane on there boards to release pressure when you leave your board out in the sun.

I finally found some stats on EVENT online, but now I can not find it again. Based on relative humidity, event does out breath Gortex to a point, then Gortex XCR edged it out. The margins were pretty close. I could find nothing on water resistance of either fabric.

So I say at the OR show, NRS and Kokatat should have a caged death match to decide which is the superior fabric. As we all know you can not trust lab results....
