I noticed that you qualifed your statement later in the body of your post, but there are two erroneous assumptions that have been negatively effecting the DragoRossi line.

1.  Blanket statements that the boats are "twitchy".  Totally false.  It's a matter of perception, paddling style and what each person is accustomed to.  Additionally, the creek boats are quite the opposite.  They are stable, predictable, and easy to roll (as a creek boat should be).  Also, the Pintail is a river runner that has all the predictability of some of the most popular boats out there with superior surfing characteristics.

2.  The DragoRossi boats are expensive.  FALSE.  The first couple of years, with all the elite outfitting, the suggested retail price WAS $1400.  Lots of negotiation and engineering later, we introduced a stripped down performance line (same hull plastic, different outfitting) and dropped the price to $799.  This year, with a bit more outfitting, the suggested retail on the boats that Tony Zanetti is importing will be as follows.
$850 for performance outfitted boats
$1100 for elite outfitted boats

I only bring up these two points because the perception of DR has been built mostly by speculation on message boards.  I know that you are a regular BT user and are in the know about many things, so am not worried about what you think of DR because you have seen this stuff develop.  I AM concerned for all those out there who are just browsing through subject lines and keep seeing that the boats are "twitchy" and taking the subject line to be a statement of fact.

Please, please, please don't misunderstand me.  I am not taking issue with you in particular; only taking the opportunity to clarify some misconceptions about a cool line of boats.
