I would love to see 300cfs fridays but not to sacrifice a whole 800 weekend. how many people will be able to get off work for friday releases anyway. Plus, still gauley season in October which draws more class IV paddlers who would benefit from 300cfs. The october draw is for 800+ releases. The river runs tons at low levels all other times of the year. My other concern would be the "slippery slope theory"-if they see 300cfs as keeping us happy then maybe they'll consider only releasing 300 for more weekendsin the future. I love the river at 300cfs one of my favorites but it is not nearly as good as 800 and people are not going to drive there in oct for 300 release. Now summer time is completely different. People will drive there in middle summer when everything else is dry for 300. That's my opinion. I totally support and appreciate your all's effort in negociating more releases at 300cfs to appeal to more paddlers but if it means losing the 800cfs releases then I will not support the effort.
