	Julie, Sally, I have not seen anything posted on this board, but our good friend and boating buddy from the Grand Canyon, Mike Stano, died on the Green River here in WA recently. There will be a memorial service on Sunday. You know, when we were picking the team, "Bob" wanted more women. I told him that ANY of us would give up our space for Mike to go, so he'd better choose carefully. I wanted Mike because he was so good, so safety conscious, and such a great human being. He was the best of us. I first met him on the Wenatchee, when I was leading a WA Kayak Club Trip. He just showed up, out of the goodness of his heart, in case I needed help. He was a fantastic person and a fantastic boater. He was the brightest and the best of all of us, and will be sorely missed.
