I know a lot of people on the East Coast, as well as out here in the PNW, knew and loved Mike Stano. Julie Fitzpatrick kindly sent me some of her pictures from our Grand Canyon trip. I know most people cannot be in Seattle to attend this memorial, but I hope people who knew him would consider making a donation to his widow.
Mike was one of the classiest guys around. He was uber-safety conscious, and more than willing to lend a hand to anything that needed doing. Always cheerful, patient, freindly, hard working, talented and kind, I was proud to call him my friend. He will be sorely missed in the boating community; he was the best of us. Jules
For those of you so inclined, there will be an open house celebration of Mike's life on Sunday June 8th from 11:00 to 4:00. We will be gathering at 1:00 to share memories and stories of Mike's incredible life. Feel free to bring your stories of Mike and help us remember our friend, paddling companion, and amazing human being.
Details: 11:00 - 4:00 Open House 1:00 - Gathering to share stories and memories Open House will be held at a private home: 534 172nd Avenue NE Bellevue, WA 98008
