Thule, hands down. That is why it costs more. Welded aluminum versus steel, and the most important thing to me, weight capacity. Yakima uses same load bars that they use on rooftops and for those who don't know this, there is no roof in the US that has a higher capacity than 165lbs! Insurance reasons, not Yakima or Thule. So, that being said, the Outdoorsman is using those bars which if you ever see a ww kayaker using this system, you will notice the huge bend in the bars. Thule's Xsporter can handle 450lbs! Big difference and no rusting.
