its the basis of western boating. i mean, you have a 90-day season and its all run at peak run-off and the runs get a class V big water rating.
in god's country, and because he loves us more, we have 9 sometimes 12 month seasons. so, stuff here that might be a IV/V during normal flows might drops down to III+ at lower flows.
plus, what are you calling "big water V's"? do you have a CFS range or a gradient range? i'd say "big water" is about as subjective as "steep creeking."
