I paddled a ZG on the Ottawa last summer and loved it for rr.  But it was 54 gallons.  I could stern squirt it easily but I couldnt get the bow down.  I should clarify that I have never successfully initiated a bow.  anyway I was thinking something around 50-52 gallons would be good.  I tried an EZG and didn't like it, and I can't really say why. Just the way the knee position etc. was.
