	Hello everyone that boats the Nantahala! I've been asked to pass along a message from NOC's Director of Rafting regarding your private boater takeout. While it is true the first takeout on river left is being used by rafting for rafting operations, you now have the wide second takeout right in front of Slow Joe's completely available for your use.  (This was our old Rental's Takeout.)  We think this is a win-win, as you now have a takeout closer to the main parking lot.  Many of you in the past have asked NOC for permission to take out here, and now you can. If you have any questions or you are not sure where these takeouts are, please just ask any NOC staff person the next time your whitewater journeys bring you to the Nantahala.
